The Language Of Light

When I started my journey learning how to light, I discovered pretty quickly that there is a lot to learn: not just about light that’s already there for you to use, but even more so when you want to craft your own light. And the thing that I realised more than anything was that to learn about light you need to understand how to talk about light – the words that people use when they talk about it, and when they teach it. 

Light has its own lexicon, and not understanding the terminology makes learning it difficult.  Additionally, different people talk about the same things in different ways. I’m sure some of the ways I’ll talk about light will differ from the way you might.

So before going too far down this road, let’s define a few terms that I’ll use frequently in other posts so there’s no unnecessary confusion. Click through for the detail:
